The Woman in the Library
The Woman in the Library- Sulari Gentill
my review : ✮✮✮
A story… within a story... within a story??
This book is perfect for all my book lovers who delight in the prospect of solving a mystery.
Our story starts in a location that is near and near to many of you…. the library! The reading room at the Boston Public Library, to be exact. Four strangers sit at a group table, each occupied by their own tasks. But the tranquility is shattered when a woman’s scream echoes through the library. Security instructs all library goers to stay put as they investigate, and while they wait for the all-clear, the four begin chatting. Each has their own reasons for being in the reading room that morning—it just happens that one is a murderer.
I found this story to be a clever take on the traditional murder mystery. I enjoyed the characters and personally was delighted by the story within the story.
I did feel the book wrapped up very quickly, but that may just be me. Overall, an enjoyable murder mystery to enjoy with an old fashioned in a very dark library.
