Every Beautiful Mile

Every Beautiful Mile - Ashley Manley
my review : ✮✮✮✮
Debut book? Insanity! This is a lovely love story!! It is simultaneously heartbreaking and funny, tender and sexy. All said and done, it’s just a delight!
This story is about Nel, who is 41 years old, the mother of two teenagers, and recently widowed. A year after her husband’s sudden death, she gets the wakeup call she needs from her dad that it’s time to start living. She decides to pack up her kids in her late husband’s old camper and take the road trip he dreamed of. It sounds heavy, but really it’s hopeful.
I will admit it took me a bit to get into this book; the beginning is really a story of motherhood and all the frustrations that come with raising teenagers and dealing with this immense loss. It was done well and was the foundation needed for the love story, but boy, was I ready to meet dreamy Ethan!
If you’re looking for a poetic love story about life after loss, you are just going to love this one.
It’s best paired with the Market Made cocktail, pulled right from the pages of this book. Swipe for the recipe!
