The Christmas You Found Me

The Christmas You Found Me - Sarah Morgenthaler

my review : ✮✮✮

I had a hard time getting into this book! I don’t know if it was the heavy subject matter that didn’t really align with my holly jolly mood (this is my fault because the synopsis makes it clear this book is not light & fluffy) or my busy holiday schedule that made it hard for me to get sucked into it, but I didn’t love this. I went in looking for Moose Springs vibes and got a really devastating yet sweet love story.

I learned a lot about ranching and pediatric kidney failure, which was interesting and devastating, respectively, but I wasn’t crazy about the love story.

This book is about a marriage of convenience between Sienna Naples, a recently divorced rancher, and Guy Maple, a single dad who desperately needs health insurance for his daughter, who’s in kidney failure. I will say this book left me wanting to visit a hot spring in Idaho!.

When I finished the book, I thought, “Oh, well, I didn’t love it.” Then, I read the author’s note and was totally gutted. I feel awful that I don’t love this book because I WANT to love it after reading that. I will read more from her, for sure. This just wasn’t for me, but it might be for you (many BR&B gals loved it!).

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Marriage of convenience

  • A more serious, emotional Christmas romance
