The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year

The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year - Ally Carter
my review : ✮✮✮✮✮
If you only read one holiday book this year, let it be this. I SAID WHAT I SAID.
If this is what you are looking for...
...in a romance: Enemies to lovers, lots of tension & pining, hot guys, smart chicks, kind of tragic backstories but not so tragic that they bum you out, and “Who did this to you?”.
...in a Christmas book: Snowed in, crackling fires, and the smell of pine.
...in a mystery: feeling like you’re playing a game of Clue, Knives Out vibes (I liked to picture the leading man in Chris Evans’ cable-knit sweater), a suspected murderer on the loose that won’t keep you up at night but will keep the heroine safe in the leading man’s strong buff arms (aka the perfect amount of scary)!!!
Then you are going to freaking LOVE this.
This story is about a cozy romance author who is flown to Mistletoe Manor, the name of her mysterious fan’s snowy estate, on Christmas, only to discover that her fellow writer (total hunk) and mortal enemy is also being whisked away on this mysterious trip.
If you’ve read this, am I on Pluto, or was this book the perfect holiday read?
Best paired with a mistletoe kiss cocktail.
P.S. I heard this is a good audiobook!!
