A Very Punchable Face

A Very Punchable Face - Colin Jost

my review : ✮✮✮✮

I have to say, I was in the group that found Colin Jost to be very punchable before picking up this book. I just…. didn’t know much about him? Made a lot of assumptions? Thought he looks like every dopey guy I’ve ever known? Who knows!
This book does the impossible in that it made me literally laugh out loud.
This is a collection of charming and self deprecating essays on Colin’s life. The highlight of the book for me was learning about his totally bad ass mom. At times, this book does have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy and I had to skip one particularly graphic chapter. Because of that, I’ll say this might be a nice gift for your brother as we enter into the holiday season!
I left this book thinking Colin Jost is just as punchable as he is lovable.
Best paired with a Bell’s Two Hearted IPA

my favorite quote:

“What I realized was: I might never have this chance again. In fact, I almost certainly would never have this chance again. Did I really want to look back and think: I could have done more, but I was afraid people would think I was lame for trying too hard?

I decided to try really hard.”.
