Tiny Beautiful Things - Cheryl Strayed

Dear Sugar, I love you! How do I get over finishing this book?

So it is important I preface this review by saying I LOVE advice columns. Something about them is fascinating to me and brings me so much peace. I have never read nor heard of Dear, Sugar but stumbled upon this book at my library. The writing is superb and the advice is truly therapeutic and a bit spiritual (whatever religion/spirituality you believe it). It is important to note this book is incredibly heavy. These are not light and breezy questions, and honestly that’s what I thought I wanted from this book but this turned out to be what I needed.
This book should come with every trigger warning in the world, there is a lot of tough, tough, tough, content.
Getting this as a library book was frustrating, I wanted to underline so many sentences… I may have to order my own copy and go to town with my highlighter!

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone
A beautifully written book that confronts extremely real and tough issues
my favorite quote:
“Most things will be okay eventually, but not everything will be. Sometimes you'll put up a good fight and lose. Sometimes you'll hold on really hard and realize there is no choice but to let go. Acceptance is a small, quiet room.”
