The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue - V. E. Schwab

my review : ✮✮✮✮

Quam magnis habitasse nibh mi. Nunc in massa vitae faucibus nulla dictum ut nisl, non. Massa nulla ultricies faucibus nec. Eu sit This book was so poetic and beautiful. This story truly transported me to another time and another dimension.
Addie LaRue makes a deal with the (very hot 🥵 ) devil to live forever.... the only catch is that she’s forgotten by everyone she’s ever met.
This book is full of so many emotions and truly had me staring out my window thinking to myself “What would I do if I was Addie LaRue?”
Honestly, I think this could be a really well done movie.
I think the dust jacket calls this a “dazzling adventure” and I will wholeheartedly agree that this baby 💫dazzled💫.
I docked a half star because I found it slow at times, but I think that helped in the overall telling of the story.
Now for the drink pairing... this book makes me NEED to buy a Dom Perignom that is from some time before 1970. Do I have that kind of cash? No! So I need to become a very famous book reviewer to afford my new #goals 🍾
Also- I found myself on Reddit (r/TaylorSwiftBookClub) and there are so many Taylor Swift songs that sound like they were written for this book! If you’ve read it, listen to Ivy.

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • A story that highlights the human condition in extraordinary circumstances

  • A novel that elicits tremendous emotion and leaves you staring at your ceiling in thought

  • A Taylor Swift soundtrack that highlight the story (lol)

my favorite quote:

“A dreamer,” scorns her mother.

“A dreamer,” mourns her father.

“A dreamer,” warns Estele.

Still, it does not seem such a bad word.”
