A perfect mystical & magical October read... maybe you’ll even get some Halloween costume inspo from this one 🎃
Nothing like my usual books but I encourage you to take a walk on the fantastical side 🧚🏽♀️
This story is about Linus who is a Case Worker at the Department in Charge Of Magical Youth. His career is focused on ensuring the orphanages these magical kids are living in are safe. His life is pretty… bland until he gets put on an assignment at the Marsyas Island Orphanage and Linus gets out of his bubble.
Reading this story was a true treat. A wonderful tale of love and acceptance. I fell in love with each of the characters and will be thinking of them far after this book is done.
perfectly written, a true delight.
best enjoyed while Bobby Dardin is singing to you while sipping a hot tea
you’ll love this book if you love:
Leaving the real world behind (!!) with a truly delightful and comforting escape
Enchanting characters filled with kindness who make closing this book impossibly difficult (I’m still having withdrawals)
Found family <3
my favorite quotes (couldn’t pick just one for this book❤️):
“Hate is loud, but I think you'll learn it's because it's only a few people shouting, desperate to be heard. You might not ever be able to change their minds, but so long as you remember you're not alone, you will overcome.”
“You’re too precious to put into words. I think … it’s like one of Theodore’s buttons. If you asked him why he cared about them so, he would tell you it’s because they exist at all.”.
