I love everything Abby Jimenez writes and the way she balances the romance with some heavier topics. This is a love story that I smiled my way through.

This is the story of two people who could not be more different and their unlikely love story. Alexis Montgomery is an insanely successful surgeon carrying the weight of a very prestigious family legacy on her back. Daniel Grant is a hot carpenter and the mayor of a small town who has a baby goat (need I say more). They have an adorably romantic meet-cute and decide to have a fling, as it’s clear (to Alexis at least) that their romance can not last given their differences. I think we can all see where this is going……

This is a DUAL POV for the 62% of you that prefer dual narrators!

If you’re in the mood for a romance that isn’t corny and is fun and fresh, pick this up. It’s not a B.R.A.D., but there are a few spicy moments (my favorite kind of book 🤪).

If I had to rank all of Abby Jimenez’s books (which no one is asking me to, but I am going to do anyway) it would go like this:

2. Life’s Too Short
3. Part of Your World
4. The Friend Zone (have you read this??? there is something that happens at the end that drives me INSANE)
