The Rom-Commers
The Rom-Commers - Katherine Center
my review : ✮✮✮✮
If you’re craving a proper romantic comedy, look no further. I found this book to be downright delightful. It’s light! It’s funny! It’s a closed door* but still manages to be sexy! Reading it was FUN!
This story is about two screenwriters. One is mega famous, Oscar winning Charlie Yates and the other is Emma Wheeler... decidedly less famous but no less talented! Charlie lives in LA, is friends with A-list actors, and creates the kind of movies that are studied in school! Emma has been living at home for 10 years helping take care of her sick father and has put her screenwriting dreams on the back burner. When she gets the life changing call that she’s been asked to help the famed (& very handsome) Charlie Yates write a ROMCOM she can’t believe her luck. That is until she shows up and realizes Charlie Yates is not aware of this plan ….
I had a crush on Emma’s gorgeous red curly hair. I can’t remember the last time I pictured a female protagonist so vividly! I found Emma to be effervescent and refreshing and Charlie to be a brooding & gorgeous leading man. There’s some health drama in this book but overall I found it to be a light & fluffy escape.
Best paired with a sweet champagne 🍾🍾🍾
*closed door= no explicit sex scenes
you’ll love this book if you love:
