The Paradise Problem
The Paradise Problem - Christina Lauren
my review : ✮✮✮✮
I just freaking love Christina Lauren. I loved them in their B.R.A.D.-era & I love them in their more mainstream romance era. I love the tension and the anticipation and all the yearning. I will admit this book contains two of my favorite tropes: fake marriage & forced proximity. It’s hard to pull those off without it being totally insane, but dare I say these two did it?! If you’re a romance reader, this is already on your radar, and I am here to say I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Now, I anxiously await the next Christian Lauren release while daydreaming about West & Anna.
West & Anna got married on paper when they were in college to secure married housing (insane premise, but when you’re reading it, it feels totally rational). They basically never talk or interact during their brief marriage at the end of college, expecting never to interact again. Until West shows up at Anna’s doorstep asking for a HUGE favor- travel to a private Indonesian island with him to attend his sister’s wedding. Oh, and she has to pretend to be his wife. Sparks freaking fly!
I loved these two. I laughed, I swooned, and I got butterflies. What more could a girl want?
Once this is released and we’ve all read it, I will be sure to do a dream casting! Although West was briefly described in the book as being Theo James with a better hairline (I am paraphrasing), I am here for it!
Best paired with a piña colada and a hot summer day.
you’ll love this book if you love:
Christina Lauren (who doesn’t?!)
Forced proximity
Fake marriage
Vacation!
