One Night on the Island

One Night on the Island - Josie Silver

my review : ✮✮✮✮

This story made me swoon.

It has similar themes of many romances I’ve read before, but in my opinion, this story is just…. done better.

To me, reading Josie Silver’s words is like drinking champagne; it fills my head (and heart!) with stars ✨✨✨✨✨

This book is about our lovely Chloe, turning 30, in a bit of a rut, and headed to a very secluded cabin on an even more secluded island on assignment for the dating column she writes. Enter: Dreamy Mack who also booked the cabin for a much needed break from his life that seems to be falling apart. This booking mix-up means both Chloe and Mack are stuck on the island until the next ferry arrives…. In 5 days…. 🛥

I mean, what’s not to love?

I am a big fat sucker for alternating POVs, which this book does wonderfully. This story is just as warm and inviting as the fictional island Chloe inhabits 🍀 .

I will warn you, our story should come with a big warning label: Reader May Have Sudden Desire to Book One Way Ticket to Ireland 🇮🇪 .

Tea + whiskey…. That’s what we’re pairing this book with. Sláinte!

If you want extra credit, I think you need to enjoy this book immersed in a bathtub with the most indulgent bubble bath you can find 🛁.

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • A romance done right

  • alternating POV’s (personal favorite)

my favorite quote:

“And for a little while, he made me feel as if I'd swallowed stars.”
