The Paris Apartment

The Paris Apartment - Lucy Foley

my review : ✮✮✮

I love the way Lucy Foley writes. Her stories are less thriller, more mystery. Her writing is so damn compelling and spooky you dread putting the book down.

Our story follows Jess, who flees to Paris to stay with her step-brother. Upon arriving at his swanky apartment …. she… can’t find him? Thus begins our story with Jess at the helm trying to solve this mystery and find her brother.

This story is told through alternating viewpoints of the inhabitants of this opulent apartment building.

Our protagonist is the proverbial “girl in the horror movie running TOWARDS the thing that goes bump in the night”… you’ve been warned.

I was left with a few unanswered questions but overall I found the story engrossing and worth the read.

All that to say, I still really enjoyed the story and will always be a big Lucy Foley fan.

Best paired with… definitely not wine (if you’ve read this book, you know)… how about instead we enjoy with a French 75… a little too on the nose, non? 🇫🇷

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Lucy Foley

  • Multiple POVs
