It Ends with Us

It Ends with Us - Colleen Hoover

my review : ✮✮✮✮

Colleen Hoover is her own genre

I have two confessions
1. I have never read any Colleen Hoover except for Verity
2. I’ve had this book for a year and have been too nervous to start it because of how severe everyone’s reaction is to this.

So… I never read a synopsis and picked this up due to the obsession everyone has with this book. I had no idea what I was in for and I loved going in blind. I need you to know my expectations were THROUGH THE ROOF for this one. I mean… a 4.42 rating on good read??? Insanity.

I loved this story. I learned a lot. I understand the hype. This is not a rom-com… maybe a rom-dram? Or just a dram? Somehow it has elements of romance, is incredibly harrowing, and makes you want to cry. Ok, definitely a drama.

I dreamt of these characters which is always an indicator of a story that sticks with you. This book left me both heartbroken and hopeful.

Recommending this book is nothing new or revolutionary but I cannot read something and not report back! If you haven’t read this, I recommend if you’re in the mood for a heavier read that will stick with you long after you finish the story.

Have you read this??? Are you obsessed? Also- what do we think of the movie?

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Colleen Hoover

  • An extremely powerful, emotional, and influential story

my favorite quote:

“And as hard as this choice is, we break the pattern before the pattern breaks us.”
