The Beach Trap

The Beach Trap -Ali Brady

my review : ✮✮✮

A sweet story about grief, love, second chances, and home renovations.

Kat and Blake met when they were 12 years old at their all-girls camp. They became instant best friends, until everything falls apart when they realize they are actually half sisters! Fast forward to present day, both women are living their own lives, hoping to never speak to the other again… that is until their dad passes away and gives the girls his dilapidated beach house in Destin, FL, to split. The girls are forced to come together to figure out what the hell to do with this house - and each other.

This story was a sweet escape. A delightful beach read to enjoy with your toes in the sand. Once I got into the book, I really adored Blake’s story line. Overall the story was a bit predictable, and one character was so unlikeable to me, that I didn’t even care about her chapters (am I being too harsh?? Maybe!! If you’ve read the book - it’s Kat!).

Overall, a sweet story of finding and creating your family. Best paired with a Truly because these ladies love a seltzer. Cheers!

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • A mixture of a coming of age & two separate budding romances

  • The Parent Trap (as in finding a sibling not reuniting parents)
