The Golden Couple
The Golden Couple - Sarah Pekkanen
my review : ✮✮✮✮
Multiple POVs. Suspenseful writing. Edge of your seat fun.
A golden couple approaches a therapist to work through some marital issues. On the outside, the couple seems like the ideal paring, but after the wife reveals she cheated on her husband one fateful night while in their first therapy session, it’s clear there’s much more than meets the eye. This isn’t any old couples counseling - this therapist lost her license and asks her patients to trust her and her unconventional methods. When this couple begins working with this maverick therapist, all three are set on a collision course where much more than their marriage is at stake.
Nothing over the top insane about this story, but I found it very riveting and enjoyable. I love a book where you’re suspicious of every and anyone.
Best paired with Marissa’s (the golden wife) favorite, a Malbec- I love the Mendel Malbec ♥️
I did not know this book wasn’t out yet! I am so spoiled by @bookofthemonth that I didn’t even check! I pride myself on not reading anything early so that when I review it you can start reading ASAP if it sounds interesting. This comes out March 3rd!
