The Lost Apothecary
The Lost Apothecary - Sarah Penner
my review : ✮✮✮✮
A female apothecary concocts deadly poisons to help the women of London bring down the men who have wronged them. I freaking love the premise!!!
This book jumps from present day to London in the 1780s and seamlessly weaves 3 women’s stories together. I loved getting lost in this story.
A few times I felt the story dragged but overall I recommend for a magical & mysterious read.
If you 💗 The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, this is for you!
Best paired with the “Sweet Poison” cocktail (2 parts coconut rum, 1 part gold rum, 1 part blue Curacao, shaken and topped with pineapple juice!!) ☠️ ☠️☠️☠️☠️

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
A story of retribution told brilliantly
my favorite quote:
“First, there was trust. Then, there was betrayal. You cannot have one without the other. You cannot be betrayed by someone you do not trust ... what you have learned is the same heart-wrenching journey of every woman to whom I have sold a poison. And it is, indeed, the same path for me.”
