The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives

The Housewives - Brian J. Moylan

my review : ✮✮

If you are even CONSIDERING reading this book you are probably a big Bravo fan - as am I!! I was VERY excited to get a behind the scenes look into how all my favorite franchises were made. I want the dirty details!

While this book was fun to read, it was kind of slow and very in the Bravo weeds (not to be confused with in the Bravo bushes- I’m looking at you, Luanne). It focused more on how reality TV came to be and the fandom around the housewives. I honestly think it’s because Bravo made it very difficult for this author to get any on the record interviews with housewives past or present. If I wanted an in-depth look into reality TV, I would watch Andy Cohen’s show For Real - which is arguably the most boring show on reality television!!

Honestly, save your dollars and instead spend your time watching some reruns. May I suggest the early seasons of RHONY?
This book is best paired with a Vanderpump rosé… which I must say is quite good! I tried to track down a Ramona Pinot Grigio with no luck 💔💔❤️‍🩹

Bottoms up, It’s turtle time!!!

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Real Housewives Bravo (may I recommend Not All Diamonds and Rosé instead)
