Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark
Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark - Jessa Hastings
my review : ✮✮✮
What is there to say about The Magnolia Parks universe that I haven’t said already? It’s unlike anything I’ve read, and you either love or hate the series. If you’ve made it to book 5, I bet you’re squarely in the love category. If you’re debating the series as a whole, go find my review of the first 3 books!
I thought this story was what we, as readers, deserved after riding the death-defying roller coaster that is BJ & Magnolia’s relationship. I did find it to be a bit slower than the others, but I believe that’s because BJ and Magnolia are finally finding some stability. Honestly, I thought this was the perfect conclusion for these two. At times, I felt like we were veering into soap opera territory, but I enjoyed every single second of it. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the Haites, and I have a soft spot for Julian. The scenes with him quite literally wrecked me. But, as the author said during a Q&A last year about this book, “It’s the only ending. It was always the way it was going to end”.
Daisy’s books will always be my favorite, and her storyline with Christian had me chomping at the freaking bit for that story. No release date yet, but I am anxiously awaiting a return to The Compound.
Best paired with tea in honor of Magnolia or a Negroni in honor of BJ!
