Meet You in the Middle
Meet You in the Middle - Devon Daniels
my review : ✮✮✮✮
This book is oh so sweet. Just a charming romcom.
Trust me, when I read the plot (opposites who work for two very politically different senators who get off on the wrong foot and have a total enemies to lovers situation), I was a bit apprehensive. But I will say, I was pleasantly surprised by this story.
All the lovely things that you wish for while reading a rom-com happened to me: I laughed, got butterflies, couldn’t put the story down, and knew what was going to happen but majorly enjoyed the ride.
I found this book to be charming and refreshing.
I will also say, I care about politics and policy, but I am not incredibly well-versed in all things political. After perusing Goodreads it is clear many people find this book… problematic. I will say, I read this book as if the background was fictitious and not based in our current political landscape. I would say this would probably not be a good bookclub book for the above reason. Best enjoyed alone - but with these characters, you will never be lonely.
Pair with a margarita made from the freshest ingredients.
