Snowed In

Snowed In - Catherine Walsh

my review : ✮✮✮✮✮

I WANT TO GET SNOWED IN WITH CHRISTIAN FITZPATRICK.

If you’re looking for a holiday romance, just shut up and get this book. Hehe, sorry for being pushy, but I LOVED it. This is by Catherine Walsh, who wrote Holiday Romance, an excellent friends-to-lovers story. This is book 2 in the series and can be read as a standalone, but I wouldn’t recommend that because Holiday Romance was lovely! As of right now, I think I liked this one even more… eeek!

Megan is dreading returning home to her small Irish village for the holidays. She hasn’t been back since she left her ex-fiance/town golden boy at the alter 5 years ago, but this year, she’s forced to return home to see her younger brother. When she runs into her old classmate Christian at a Dublin pub a few weeks before Christmas, they bond over their mutual dread of returning home for the holidays. He comes up with a plan: pretend to be dating to get their families off their backs. NEED I SAY MORE.

Excellent banter. Super confident leading lady (REFRESHING). Super hot leading man (NECESSARY). There was lots of tension and sparks, and HELLO, YOU HAD ME AT FAKE DATING. I simultaneously got butterflies and in the holiday spirit. What more could you want?! Not a B.R.A.D. but also not closed door (a Christmas miracle!).

I think this is one of those weird books that’s hard to find? Like, it might only be sold on Amazon? I am sorry for teasing you if you’re a library gal because I don’t think it’s at the local library. Maybe if you’re nice, Santa will bring it to you for Christmas!

** Small critique: I thought the names Megan and Molly were too similar. Am I getting old, or is that kind of confusing?**

This is best paired with the Christmas cookies cocktail by @styledbydaisies !! Visit her page for the yummy recipe.

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Christmas romance

  • fake dating
