Practice Makes Perfect

Practice Makes Perfect - Sarah Adams

my review : ✮✮✮✮

GAH! This book. This is just an incredibly sweet romance that left me a bit glowy. I do have to say I found myself tearing through this at midnight, and I was like, "What the hell am I doing!?". So… proceed with caution.

Our story can be read standalone but is technically book 2 in the When In Rome series. It follows Annie Walker, a flower shop owner and small-town sweetheart. Annie hasn't had much luck in the dating department, but she knows inevitably she wants the white-picked fence—marriage and babies—life. Unfortunately, she feels like she's just not good at dating, so her happily ever after feels very far away. Enter Will Griffin, a totally hot bodyguard tasked with guarding Annie's future sister-in-law and global pop star, Amelia Rose (read book 1 for more on that!). On paper, Will is Annie's polar opposite, tattooed, intimidating, and vehemently opposed to all things related to commitment. Since they're so incompatible, Amelia decides Will is the perfect person to teach Annie how to date. Can you see where this is going?!!?

When I started this book, I simply could not put it down. I found the story to be so delightful, refreshing, and butterfly-inducing. This is a quick read and perfect for romance lovers wanting out of a reading slump. Sarah Adams is the master of the sweet, happy-ending romance, and I will be anxiously awaiting her next release. I liked this even better than When in Rome!

How could I NOT pair this book with a floral cocktail? Swipe for Annie’s Flower Drop recipe! Cheers 🌸

P.S. closed-door romance! Not a B.R.A.D. (IMO, it could benefit from being a B.R.A.D., lol!)

my favorite quote:

“It seems to me, Annie, that you are just waiting for someone to give you permission to be yourself out loud.”
